General Sultan Kılıç Girey... A hero, a soldier, a patriot, a leader and a thinker... Many more sublime qualities can be added to the qualities we have mentioned. However, the most important feature that makes him special is that he is a personality with a very strong humanitarian side. Looking back from today, a person who is remembered with these superior qualities may also have had behaviors and choices that could be considered wrong. It should not be forgotten that in his sixty-seven years of life, Sultan Kılıç Girey is a person who spent every day in struggle, except for the thirteen years he spent with his family. He actively served on the fronts of World War I for four years between 1914-1917, on the fronts of the Russian Civil War for four years between 1918-1921, and on the fronts of World War II for four years between 1942-1945. He spent twelve years of his life on the front lines of World War II, in the midst of the bloodiest wars in world history. The years that are not spent in frontline war are a struggle for life spent in great difficulties in exile in different countries.
In this book, beyond the tragic life story of this exceptional personality who has written his name in deep letters in the history of the Caucasus, you will find examples of sublime human qualities such as virtue, courage and sacrifice embodied in a person. In addition, this work is more than just the life story of a mortal, it is also a history of the period in which he lived, which left deep traces.
